Parents Are Like a First Aid Box for the Soul

Often I wonder how parents affect our lives and couldn’t really come up with an interesting analogy that would cover all aspects. This one satisfies me for the time being.

The words spoken by our parents are like the cotton balls and disinfectants. They’re soft like cotton balls so as not to hurt our feelings and maintain our self confidence but sometimes the truth hurts and stings just like the disinfectant; but they’re necessary at times when they feel the need to do away with harmful alien objects that pollute our minds.

The bandages are like a parents cover or shelter provided to the child in times of need. They act not only as a protective covering and a shield but also allow time for the wounds to heal beneath. It’s also used as a cover so as not to allow anyone to see the injury and take advantage. They come in all shapes and sizes to accommodate any type or size of wound.

Parents use the CPR kit most often to revive their children when they feel down in the dumps or like they’ve failed. This is one of the most important tools that a parent uses to make sure their child stays in the right frame of mind. Every first aid box must have a CPR kit.

Just knowing that a First Aid Kit is nearby and handy gives you a sense of safety. I could go on and on but you get the picture.

Random Thoughts

You can't miss something you never had. Thus feelings of lonliness can only be felt if you've ever experienced feelings of attachment.
